Braham Architects in collaboration with Agent Interior Design

Location: Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley, Western Australia
Type: Hospitality
Status: Completed November 2015
Area: 300m²
Builder: Aurora Project Group - http://aurorapg.com.au
Scope: Concept Design, Design Development, Development Approval

Braham Architects, in collaboration with Agent Interior Design, were engaged to create the concept designs through to development approval for an exciting new food offering on the flourishing Beaufort Street strip in Mount Lawley. Working with a dynamic team of restaurant entrepreneurs; the owners of Low Key Chow House and Burger Bistros, the design sought to augment Perth's newest and finest Pan-Asian dining experience.

The brief called for a rustic, oriental aesthetic; with reinterpreted Chinese grain and whimsical elements combining to create the client's desired atmosphere. Design challenges came in the form of the existing structure, services and back of house fit-out, with a need to create an innovative, fresh interior whilst still maintaining much of the existing necessary infrastructure. The client and builder had a fantastic working relationship, so with the projects challenging budget, the client/builder team were able to move forward and deliver the final product, with the client sourcing all furniture and fit-out items themselves.

We wish Dainty Dowager and their team all the best for their impending opening, and look forward to the restaurant becoming a vibrant new addition to the Beaufort Street strip in Mount Lawley.
